On Future Plans

Hi there! Sorry, it's been a while; I've been rather busy, and frankly this post is really just an update on what I've been doing with my life the last few months and why I haven't been around much.
Let's start with the biggest news first. I'm getting married soon! I finally found the one, y'all, and he is amazing. I couldn't have asked for a better guy. Between his emotional intelligence, his love for people, and his interest in archaeology and anthropology, I think I've learned more about people and relationships since meeting him than I did in all my family science classes before he showed up in my life.
Next up, I started streaming on Twitch at the beginning of this year and I've really enjoyed it--though, as of the next few months, my stream schedule will be sporadic at best in the bustle of wedding planning. I mostly play Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, which is an utterly fantastic game that has given me great joy since I discovered it last year.
Third, I started DMing my own D&D campaign last winter, shortly after I met my fiance. His interest in archaeology inspired me to create a campaign based around the premise of fantasy archaeologists (because obviously a fantasy world chock-full of magical artifacts and holy relics would have archaeologists; why have fewer creatives figured this out?), which has been grand fun, and I've learned a lot about DMing and D&D in general since we began.
Hand in hand with that is the news that I'm planning on starting my own D&D actual play sometime next year! I've got an awesome group of friends and family to play with and we're working on designing our own logo, so no reveals there yet, but we do know what our group name is going to be. No spoilers yet, but I'll keep putting out updates on that endeavor as time goes on and I remember. Currently we're hoping to start recording in January, should all go well (of course, with things like this, there are very often hitches and obstacles that arise no matter how well you've planned things out).
The last bit of news is that I've finally gotten back into writing a bit, and I'm working on a project that blends fantasy magic with some science fiction tropes--essentially, the premise is the question, "What would happen if a fantasy world experienced an alien invasion?" So far it mostly feels like Star Trek, but I really like my protagonist so far and I have some interesting ideas percolating. I am hopeful that this may be a project I can see through to its end, unlike so many of my other writing pursuits.
Currently, I'm excited about everything I have going on and all the plans I've laid out; and I'll try my best not to let the blog fall by the wayside quite so badly going forward. We'll see how that pans out though!
Have a great day everybody, and I hope to see you again soon, be it here on the blog, on my Twitch channel, through my YouTube VODS after the fact, or through the D&D actual play!
